IFF stands for Autodesk Maya Image Interchange Format. These files are emitted by Autodesk’s Maya program. IFF files are used for storing images and can be extended to AIFF for storing audio data. These files have an 8 to 16 bit per channel RGB and up to 32 bit floating point depth map.
