GAM stands for Saved Game Format File. These files are written by video GAMes and are saved so that the player can continue from where they left off, after the video GAMe program is opened the next time.
The GAM file format files begin with a header called MAP_GLOBAL_VARS. This is followed by variable declarations used in the GAMe.
